We - the Research Center for Open Digital Innovation (RCODI) - are an interdisciplinary team and network of scholars and thinkers who aspire to advance theories and technologies for open digital innovation. We build, study, and practice new forms of organizing the process of innovation and learning using digital technologies: open source software (OSS) communities, crowdsourcing, cloud-based science infrastructures, blockchains, peer production, data science challenges. Our vision is to leverage the power of distributed machine and human intelligence and empower individuals and groups to learn and develop innovative solutions for complex problems such as software development, energy conservation, healthcare.
