Marlen Promann

Marlen is a Sr. UX researcher and designer with 10+ years of human centered design experience in usability, end-to-end, and generative settings. From tech savvy Estonia and training in design (BA Honors Design from LMU) and social scientific research methods (MSc Media and Communications from LSE) she studies human behaviors to inform the design of transformative experiences with data and digital technologies. She has consulted for Fortune 500 companies (e.g. Ford), government agencies (e.g. NASA), and game changing initiatives (e.g. London 2012 Olympics). She is currently pursuing an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in human-information experience and leads the product development for Energy Aware Communities with NSF and BWI. While at Purdue has won numerous awards for her research and product innovations (IEEE VAST, NordiCHI, CHI, HCII, Whirlpool and GE).
